Gucci and The North Face Reveal '70s-Inspired Collection
Almost three months after teasing their collaboration, The North Face and Gucci have come together to reveal a collection featuring everything from ready-to-wear and footwear to tents and sleeping bags. The collaboration is inspired by ideas of exploration and self-discovery, and continues the two brands’ sustainability commitments.
Stand-out items in the collection include the outerwear, such as goose-down feather padded coats and bomber jackets, based on The North Face designs from the ’70s. Other key items include T-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets bearing the special Gucci x The North Face logo, as well as boldly-patterned shirts and brightly-colored jumpsuits. The collection also features a co-branded hiking boot in three colors — brown, black and cream — with a Goodyear-weted sole, rope-like laces and the collection’s logo on the side.
In terms of luggage, Gucci and The North Face are introducing eight new graphic patterns based on either Gucci House motifs or the collection’s logo. Luggage items contain ECONYL, a nylon fabric made from regenerated materials that can also be recycled and recreated.
Take a look through the Gucci x The North Face collection in the gallery above. The collaboration will make its debut in China through specially-redesigned stores. A selection of the pieces will also be available from the Gucci web store along with some online exclusives.
